16 Subtitle: Silk16.1 A.Nevzorov (off screen): Here is Silk Valentin. I’ve seen her performances for a lot of times and every time I couldn’t help crying of admiration and worship. I do know well her black Friesian horse Biko. He is a majestic, playful and impulsive stallion. He is always full of wild energy multiplied by utmost mischief. He is crazy about freedom. But it loves this small paralyzed lady in a green wheelchair even more than freedom. He has been living with this woman for all his life. She has never mounted him an she has never beaten him but managed to teach him almost all the elements of Haute Ecole and turned this rowdy into one of the most marvelous and famous horses in the world. 16.3 A.Nevzorov (on screen): When Silk met Biko for the first time he was an ordinary usual stallion which was sure that a man is a filth. But Silk fell in love with Biko at first sight. In return Biko pulled Silk with his teeth out of the wheelchair and dragged her along the arena. Next day she approached him again but he hit the wheelchair with all the strength of its hind legs. He was ready for a battle with a man, strings, bit, but he was completely unaware at that moment of the mesmerizing power of human’s love. Silk was perhaps the first person who used the most powerful human’s weapon unknown to a horse before – it was irreproachable and successive honesty in the relations and equality without any strings, thongs and bit. There was also her extreme courage and endless tolerance. And the black hooligan’s heart was won and he opened to Silk Valentin. Silk proved the main truth not only herself but the whole world. She proved that all the problems in the relationship between a man and a horse originate in man’s foolishness and evil. If there is no evil, there is no problem. And that is that. |
